if we would race 2 out of 3 races you might win the first one but I would have the other 2 gauranteed because I can change to fresh batteries and you cant.
Im not trying to hate on you or anything I kinda like your idea but I really dont see any real purpose or benefits of permanently installing batteries in your xmod. But we all have our opinions.

Well I'm not going to retype it again......just reread my previous post over and over again until the part about 'WHY I did it' makes sense. You'd be surprised how long a charge lasts me, quite honestly. Long enough for alot more than 3 drags I'd imagine. And if we raced 3 times or whatever, I wouldn't just beat you by a little bit. I would completely and totally dust you hardcore style, as if you didn't even have batteries in your friggin' xmod. So changing your batteries really wouldn't help.
And BTW, what if I had a 14.4V xmod for every set of your rechargeable batteries? Then what?

thats the problem with people like you you get on the internet and run your mouth but in person your just a little xxtxh I tried to give you your props who cares if your cars faster if it is it is if its not its not obviously it seems to me your racing by yourself cause how you gonna have a setup like that and race with anybody else when your batteries going dead. It aint my fault you that stupid enough to solder your batteries and your car. thats like super glueing your gas cap shut to your gas tank and if we was on a track you would have to bring 5 of your cars to my 1 regular 6 cell to have a decent day of racing.
Feel that !!!!!!!!

whatever dude, you weren't giving any more props than criticisms. I CHARGE MY CAR WITH THE BATTERIES IN IT YOU FOOL. AND WHO'S SPOUTING OUT AT THE MOUTH. YOU ARE. Trying to make someone's xmod sound like some retro-90's garbage, whatever the hell that was supposed to mean. If you condescend, that's what you're going to get. Like I said, I'm open to suggestions. Show me a faster way and I'll be on it. I'll probably even improve upon it, as I'm going to do with the next level of xmod'ing, which happens to be external ESC board design. So you just revel in your kick ass 6 cell xmod there, guy. Nobody is asking you why the hell you want to go with 6 cell. As if I haven't already been there and done that. Sheesh.

You're not breaking my heart any. We tried the 'simple-question-simple-answer' route and that didn't work. You needed to know why I did that to my xmod simply because you race your xmod all day long from sun up to sun down with chargers and batteries all lined up and ready like some racing pit garage. WELL I DON'T DUDE, IS THAT FEASIBLE TO YOU? DOES THAT SOUND LIKE A POSSIBILITY TO YOU? I DON'T RACE MY CAR FOR SEVERAL HOURS AT A TIME. THAT IS PROBABLY THE SIMPLEST WAY OF LOOKING AT IT.

Now children, no fighting! :-p
That still doesn't answer my question; can someone post a diagram or SOMETHING that can tell me how to install a charging circuit?

Ok, and you ,Mrs. Namecaller, keep reading the whole volley of posts over and over again until it sinks in, just like I said before. There's no reason to badger me about it either, fella. Would it make you feel better if I made my batteries ABLE to take out at the drop of a hat? I mean, all that is awesome about my creation and you're going to nit-pik at some majorly minute and minor detail like the fact that my batteries are soldered to the car?? What kind of woman are you? Should I go back to 6 cell and be slower? Is that what you're telling me? I bet you'd even argue that you get better current flow from your cells being connected to your car by a GAP IN BETWEEN THE CELL AND THE CONTACT, than a SOLDERED JOINT. Whatever tickles your fancy, sweetheart. Quit actin' like a woman and criticizing NOTHING.

Can you explain what you mean by installing a charging circuit, specifically? You want some of the charging circuit installed in the car so that you can just plug say, "a dc plug" into the side of your xmod? Or so that you can just connect the charger to your car and charge batteries that are in your car? This is what setup I have.
Oh, and bon.bon, consider yourself ignored. There's no more time for you.

Hmm, I think it'd be cool to just be able to plug in from a wall outlet, or from some adapter, and recharge the batteries like that... Cause I have some plans for my car, and It'd be too much of a hassle to keep taking them out...

As you'll notice, my charger is powered by a variable power supply. That power supply, depending on where you go, can cost $100. Not really your best buy for the simple necessity of powering a battery charger. What you can do is build a charger just like mine and then power it with a power pak wall adapter which would give you a >20V @ >1A output, and *walla* you have a charger that is portable and can connect directly to your car in the same fashion as mine. Or, if you want to get savy, you could connect a female DC plug to your batteries and install it in your car in a way that would allow you to just plug the male plug right into it, which would be connected to your charger.
As far as putting the charging circuit INSIDE the car, that is adding unnecessary weight. You'd like as much of the circuit OUTSIDE your car as possible. Even the DC plug idea is going to be adding several grams, so the best bet is to do what I did and have springed clips that clip on to your battery wires, right next to the positive and negative terminals of the batteries in the car.
**Here's the very same CHARGER CIRCUIT that I used. The designer is a tech by the name of Scott Henion. It will charge 1,2,3 or 4 li-ions, depending on how you build it. Very simple, inexpensive, and easy to build. As long as you monitor your voltage drain, you should have no problems with this charger. The charger will never overcharge your cells, but you have to make sure you don't drain the cells below 3V per cell, or else you'll have to 'trickle' them back up to 3V before you can charge them normally. So if you don't have a trickle charger, then your cells are toast below 3V/cell.
