Those cap's on the motors labeled "101" prevent RF noise(radio interference) from effecting the electronics. Motors naturally produce RF noise, but bit motors are too small to make too much interference.

Wheely poppin, gear strippin, zip crushin, quad cell monster!

KidRiffic in all it's glory. The wheels are too big, it goes too fast, it lifts the front end with utmost ease, I can hear the gears chattering, the run time is like 3 minutes....and I LOVE IT!

tank style steering makes it almost impossible to control, but who cares, I just roll over anything in it's way.

Gotta find a way to gear this puppy down...or get propo in there somehow....hmmm

Pretty basic, first pic shows the tire difference from stock, the dremel tool used to get the ridges off the stock hubs, and the battery configuration.

the body came off a Stampeder pull back. They got gears in them too so I bought the package deal in hopes to tear a few of them part. The bodies are what really counted here. You could also use the tires.

the tires came from something called a 4xfours batttery operated truck. They are sooooo soft and really light, and the inner diameter of the tire will fit the stock hub.

oh yeah, and everything from ToysRus.

I just pulled the stock rubber off, dremmelled down the ridges, and put the 4xfours tires on. I also put the Stampeder's tires on, and they didn't require any modification either.

The only thing you might have to do to the Stampeder body is cut off the mounting posts underneath. I haven't figured out a mounting method yet, but they fit pretty tight so it stays in place anyway.

Does anyone know if the other Kid-riffic offerings are dual motored with tank steering also. I recall hearing they were but upon looking at them im not sure.
The rc's im talking about are construction vehicles (cement mixers etc) and they say Micro RC just like these. They dont say 4 x 4 but it doesnt neccesarily HAVE to in order to boast dual motor / tank steering features.

Hey Lord Nick thanks for replying. Im planning on throwing one of my tri cell battery packs into the truck but im not sure how to go about doing this ( ive done many tricell / dual cell cars before but the truck set up looks odd..and i dont want to drop money on a second one lol). Im assuming i can simply run the positive contact of the battery pack to the (imagine the car in front of you....rear facing you) positive contact of the 1st battery terminal and the Negative contact to the 2nd battery terminals negative contact.

Blah..that sounds wrong ( i feel like i should be connecting to the 1st terminals negative contact some how).

How did you wire the cells? I saw the diagram but from what position is the car sitting ?

Also....id be interested in knowing if the construction vehicles 3rd feature function..yes...GUN TURRET!
