New Curcuit board=fixed range?
hay. my friend has really short range, and he wanted me to ask you guys if buying a new curcuit board would fix that. answers would be appreciated. thanks

the Reciever PCB Assy from CJ's faq right? thats a direct replacement for the 2 boards. you just need to solder the battery holders on and the servo on. if thats what you're talking about if not go to the XMODS section and do a search for "Extended Range?" for a fix

Check under the cover of the Command Logic Port for the L1 L2 inductors. The L2 inductor is the biggest cause for short range when its burnt out.
You can get a replacement inductor at www.atomicmods.com

You want the PCB. The servo is what turns the car.

I just put in a new recevier board into the existing board/servo/batt combo. Is that bad?

i would get a servo too. then it will be easier to install that way too. then you have an extra servo to play around with. and you can use the old servo and battery holders. its ok. just be careful when you solder the wires on the battery holders that you solder it as quickly as possible. ive ruined a couple of them, the metal piece where you solder them gets too hot and the plastic melts and ruins the end of the battey holder.
