Belt Driven Pics
This is my belt drive train system... I have not had a chance to make a tutorial on it yet.. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them. If you are wondering if it goes fast... all i can say is that it can run better then any motor setup from RS...and quiet ass hell......

For the tutorial, I have one floating around the board. Search for belt and you will see a simple MS Paint tutorial i put together in 4mins.
The band does not slip when driven... but if you hold the 2 back wheels or front, then it will slip. I'm not too sure about all the advantage or disadvantage. You might want to asked the other ppl on this board for that info. I can say that it's pretty fast, and when you enter a turn and leave it, you don't slow down at all... the belt has a tension on it so that when you exit a turn you are still going about the same speed as you enter. If you enter a turn with a gear car, the motor will slow down because the car is difting or rubbing on all 4 tires and slowing down the motor. I design my belt to slip a little, you could adjust it by rasing the motor higher. the reason i design it to slip alittle is becuz i want the motor to keep on spinning while all four wheels are rubbing against the floor when entering a turn so that i could keep the momentum of the motor spinning.
The rubber band is for tape players. I got it at an electronic store. bought the smallest one they had their.
