You should get a perfection 4.2 pro motor at toyeast.
I getting a new Perfection car, Lambo Murc, Ferrari. I can smell a mosfet coming on mine with three 200mah batteries and 4.2

hey bdebde, is micro_Amps' local hobby shop in wash state (where you would appear to be)? I live in Seattle and would be interested in a good LHS since I have a Mini-X and am pondering a ZZ SE. Thanks,
Charles.

Uh, bdebde, you seem to have an obsession for wanting fast micros... first the ZipZap that went at 11.6 mph, now this...
I heard that your ZipZaps that achieved that speed had a motorworks pcb, motorworks steering, motorworks motor and gears, and even the tires, plus a tricell. So, I'm guessing if I just installed a Layman's tricell in the Motorworks RC, it would fly, right? Alright now!

Cdog,
the hokeytown usa down at south center carries some microracers. But I think you will have to know what you want already (and most likely special order).
Alternatively, there is Atomic Hobbies over in redmond that is more specific to r/c. Though I haven't been there since by bus its a long way to Redmond from Beacon Hill.
Also note if you are on the north side of Seattle, there are a few shops there. Its the southside that is lacking.

bdebde - Do you have any video of the car in action yet??? Have you tried alternate power like LI-poly or Laymans Tri-cell yet?? I heard you were looking into that.
A guy on another thread stated that his fet modded SE fried when li-poly'd. His regular ZZ worked fine with the li battery though.
Just interested in any insight. thanks

Not sure if I have some video or not, I just got a new computer and haven't got everything off of the old one yet. I have some of the laymans cells and will be trying that setup sometime soon. I just have had very little time lately, too many new toys for christmas and busy at work.

Cool, let us know about the Laymans mod since so many people do have them around. I would actually like to know because I'm thinking of getting some but don't know if it's worth it or not. I mean, if I could run to a store and grab some then yeah, but since you gotta pay S&H.... shees....

Anybody have any idea why Micro_amps hasn't gotten back to me yet? I've been trying to get hold of him for more than a week. BAE

How did you try to contact him? Did you send him an email through his website? He doesn't come on to this forum all that often so email is the best way. If you sent him a car then it'll be about a week before he even gets it. Send him an email for status because he usually is pretty good about updating you when he receives it and sends it back....

I have tried the perfection 4.2 in my ZZ SE and it is pretty weak. In my opinion the NX motor is the only way to go.
