I've got the same truck as you "themonster" minus the 5speed and engine work. It's a tough truck, my grandfather rolled it a few times so it's got issues. I get a couple people every year telling me how nice their ranger was and how dependable it was. Then every time I drive my '76 triumph spitfire i get at least 2 people a day wistfully looking at it and telling stories about their triumph or mg.

I was using the setup in my sig today in school (last day before vacation= boredom) and in my science class the thing drifted like mad. i was using the stock tires in the front and hard treaded in the rear. (i also brought ALL of my spare parts because i knew someone would break something, and they did.) and right before class ended i let this girl drive it and she slid it into the heater and the body flew off. come to find out she broke the rear mounting tab. the only thing i didnt bring.

but dusty tile floor is great for drifting.

i go drifting in my friends 92 volvo station wagon. the funny thing is that it is so underpowered that the ground needs to be wet or it wont even chirp the tires. but once u get it sliding it handles really good. trucks are great for donuts and just sliding around. me friend has a 92 gmc sierra and we sit there in the school parking lot and spin and try to get it goin sideways for as long as possible. cant wait till i get my license....gotta start driving skewl soon
