The link doesn't work, but I assume your talking about the post about cutting off the black capacitor?

The post refers to putting a large cap across the terminals on the motor, to store energy when you are off of the throttle. I suspect there may be side-effects to doing this, but it could work. Basically, you are removing the small cap and replacing it with a larger one.

I know that putting a large cap across the batteries to help store energy for acceleration does work.
