Olympus 380
It will actually take better pics, but I'm a horrid photographer. Light behind my subject, I didn't use the close-up feature, and I may have been a tad close(takes huge SHQ pics and I could have easily cropped to this size from a shot at a further distance).
Ugh, one day I'll learn.
I have my eye on another Olympus, this time a C5050 w/Marco.

If you're using a digital camera, your pictures will look like crap unless you spend at least $250 on it, but that price is decreasing...

Well, anyway, my camera is an Olympus D550Z. It was $300 just over a year ago, and is a 3.1Mpixel camera. I take all of my shots in HQ mode, 1900x1400 resolution, but compressed. Each pic is about 700k. I then use either Paint Shop Pro or Irfanview to crop and resize to around 400x300, use the sharpen function in PSP or Irfanview, then save at about 80-90% quality on the jpg compression. Here is a typical shot:

Oh, that's the rear end of my skid plate It's made out of a 7up soda bottle, the idea is credited to "lilcricket". You can probably still find his thread " "new" skid plate ", for a tutorial he put up. I extended it there because I thought "hey, what if I go into reverse and I hit some bump that popped out of nowhere. That bump would add scratches to my rear part of my chassis". Err... maybe some pics would clear it up a bit...
We got the Canon Powershot G5 when it was mostly brand new, so the price was still a bit high. Around $560 w/ kit but I guess that's a pretty good price for a 5 mega-pixel camera. Though my sister and I would have prefered the G3

I suppose it would but it only gets warm. I'm running a 5cell, RS batts, S2 Yellow Motor, and a heatsink so things get pretty hot but the slots only get warm.

gotta love the minimum 1.2 inch focus range for my Canon S400's macro function picture was originally 1600x1200 in highest quality/lowest compression then i resized it to 640x480. no cropping. i'll try another pic with full 4MP resolution when i get around to it

Close up of my front bumper with command logic lights, 3mm foglights in grill (fogs not driving lights because they have a very slight yellow tint to it) and 5mm driving lights.
