Dual Electronics

I dont know if this will work but i was thinking about putting 2 sets of recievers in one of my cars. i dont know exactly how to go about doing this though.
will both revievers be able to work on the same frequency?
will i need diodes anywhere between the motor and the electronics?

Why would you want to do that?

2 sets of electronics=2 sets of 6 cell mods =14.4 volts = lotta power

Oh, not a bad idea, but, it just doesn't seem like it would work.

if the 2 can run on the same frequency all i have to do is rig them up so that they are clones of each other and jump the pos on one to the neg on the other side and hook the other 2 up onto the motor.

If the only reason to do this is to deliver more voltage to your motor, there are better ways to go about it. FETs, relays, regs, etc. Besides, you're going to need all the space you can get to pack the batteries for those volts, right?

that wont work bud. you cant run 2 recievers from one Tx. how the receiver reads the info and reacts is not perfect. so you will have 2 receivers doing slightly different things fighting with eachother.

So, is there any way of using the receiver on one board to control the speed control on two ?

think about it... you add all that crap... 2 sets of electronics.. and 6 batteries... defeats the purpose of the xmod

EXACTLY

think about it... you add all that crap... your case wont even fit...
and to tell you the truth... if... *which if isn't even a possibility*
you pulled it off... you'd have a tiny car... with a bunch of JUNK all over it. i mean... guys already are havin difficulty finding room for 6th cells... none the less 2 boards for electronics and 12 BATTERIES... lmao...
again... interesting idea... but not probable.

Sure, but if you are doing that, you might as well do the external FET mod instead. It would handle more power than two stock boards, and it can also handle the voltage. All that would need to be done is to upgrade the Zener diode on the main board, or use a regulator in its place.

*Idea* I could probably build a version of my board that had the regulator built-in. What you would do is wire the power directly to my board, and then use the 5V output from the regulator to feed the stock electronics. With that kind of setup, you could do almost anything, with no risk at all to the stock electronics.

Theres also RELAYS

Go to Mr BigShot's Must See UpGrades in the Xmod science area to read about relays . With Relays you can run all the volts you want .

Actually, this sounds like a hell of an idea. Itcould be a really easy drop in, especially if it had clear places to connect the existing wiring.
