Im assuming you had to extend the drive shaft. Where did you get a longer one or how did you work that out? Im an amateur still gathering the right pieces for my first project and the only thing I dont have or have figured out so far is the drive shaft, I've been told you can special order any Xmod piece from Radioshack and havent looked into it yet. I need to lengthen my wheelbase by an inch and a half and I dont think I'll need to widthen it, I took it apart and if I havent overlooked anything I only need to replace the drive shaft and make a few brackets to get that extra inch and a half.(thats bare minimum, I also want to work something out to where I can clip and unclip the wires connecting the battery to the car so I dont have to bust out the soddering tool everytime i accidentily tug at the wires, and maybe add some extra batteries if it doesnt require any other changes besides sticking another battery case in there. I dont even want to think about the engine mods I'll be getting into when I learn more about this stuff). Anyhow sorry about being long winded, basically I wanna do what you did and could use any advice you feel like giving me about the drive shaft and anything else Im overlooking Your car looks like it fits beautifully by the way, I can already visualize it with the windows, paint and new tires on it
btw sinistar i dont know if you've seen it already, but on my scavenger hunt for parts and accesories for my project I found a site with some nice looking lightbar setups, it has full 1:24 scale unmarked crown victoria police cruisers but they are diecast and of little use to Xmodders but they have nice looking lightbars that come seperately for less then a couple bucks a piece. I noticed you have that single light on yours and thought you might be interested in the more modern looking ones... I assume they are plastic(I hope so anyway, Im ordering a few) and you can get clear paint to paint em with on the same site...check it out http://www.carorama.com/lgtbars/index.htm

Thanks for the complements, and (to russell) I am still an amateur too, that's why I shortened the body of the car by around a 1/4 of an inch so i never had to change the drive shaft or stretch the car to fit, but if you have to get one you should try to get someone that sells CF driveshafts to make a custom one for you. And as for modding your motor, advancing the timing is an easy mod with good results

Thanks dark_wing, but before you read this I must warn you that I am pretty drunk right now. So with that said, I used a haxsaw blade to cut the body. I rather use that then a dremel because it's easier to control. I just cut it in the spot above the side windows that looked the straightest. And to stick it back together I used a small piece of flexible plastic, like what comes with the upgrade kits from radioshack, and some goop.( I'll attach a picture of the join) And I filled in the crack with body filler(bondo) to smooth it out. It's not a difficult proccess. I hope this helps.
