seems like too much money for too little pieces, you can't even make a technical track with one kit. wide ovals dont' seem too fun

Oval? Cmon, they could have offered a simple roadcourse version instead of two oval tracks. I would want to drive, not drag.

I dunno about the mats at wallmart but I've been using interlocking anti-fatigue mats for over a year now. I use them for the base on my bit track. The grip is a lil great for the bits but a xmod would do great on it. I've recently bought a couple of epoch racers and they run great on this surface. I bought these mats 6 2x2 squares at a local wherehouse store for $16 and 8 more at homedepot (4 2x2 for $20) You could easily make your own track for that money but the costs would be about the same in the long run.

From the picture, it looks just like the RCP tracks sold over at minizracer.com. If they are, they are supposed to be very good tracks. They are used in the Kyosho Mini Z Cup races.

They probably give excellent grip.
And expensive grip.
Never buying one.

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking! These aren't just your average foam tiled click lock mats they are hobby RC grade, professional mats. I'm surprised RS are selling them for xmods, as I thought they were aimed at the more serious RC fan.

it looks strikingly familiar to RCP Tracks which are for the Mini-Z as well. if you think they look cheap or whatever, it's clear you don't have much experience with professional tracks.
RCP Tracks are used for the offical Kyosho Mini-Z Cup races and hobby shops world wide. READ HERE for extensice reviews of RCP Tracks.
if it is indeed an RCP Track, those of you who are making these rediculous statments are going to feel really foolish when the XMOD racing series comes around and they are using them.
do some research before making silly acusations about tracks you apparently don't know much about
