After weeks of hard work....
After about a couple of months of sanding off and on the painting has started.
1st stage of painting done. I am going to do a second coat of black tomorrow. Then the two layers of Krylon Mystique.

What color is the Mystique going to morph into? I didn't know it would work with black.

Blue / purple
You have to put down the black base coat first, then the Mystique, then the clear coat. You get all three cans when you buy it. The Mystique is actually clearish in color with (the best way to describe it.) little flakes / beads that cause the color shifting. The real stuff is way too spendy to use on rc car.

Today's update....After the 3 coat of the Mystique, the color is really starting to pop. It shifts between dark green, dark blue, green blue, purple, & a bronze color. I wish I had a really good camera that would show it.

I got it from Hobby Lobby. I want to say that it was about $13.00. It may have been less. I know that you can purchase it from auto part stores as well.
