Tracks

I'm just starting to do some research on tracks for Mini-Z and XMods. Trying to get a feel for what kind of track sizes are typical, so I have a better idea of how i should be setting my car up.

Anyway, I stumbled across this:

Geez! Highway robbery. $375 for a track? Go to home depot, buy some flooring tiles of whatever material you like best, some rubber molding for the walls, find some way to attach the walls to the flooring material (staple-gun, glue / epoxy, nails, whatever), and you'll have a perfectly decent track.

Besides, it might be a good bit of fun to design your own, for much less ca$h.

that is kinda cool, but like what pbmax said, go to The Home Depot(not somewhere else) and find what you want to build your track and i can almost gaurantee that it will be cheaper.

I don't know... seems like thats kind of small for my liking. I really like to open mine up and really cruise around. (right now I just kind of pretend thereis like a 30 foot track in my driveway. lol.

I never actually looked at the price on that track, I just liked the idea of the tiles. It seems much nicer than the usual PVC pipes.

from that aspect I'd say that the kind of tiles that he's talking about there would be great for a track surface!
