Turning 19 in April. Been playing with RC cars since I was 4 and wondering why all these newer cars break so fast (steering on both my mini-z and my xmod both work horribly, twitchy, etc. never used to happen on my old cars )

edit: but that's not to say that I don't my xmod dearly, of course (mini-z broke for good, though)

Yup, they don't make them like they used to. It took me probably a year or two to completely destroy my Tyco Turbo Hopper (at that point it was held together with popsicle sticks and duct tape!). I managed to break something on my first nitro RC car within a week.

Hobby-quality stuff breaks, plain and simple. It's made to perform, not to last. Otherwise, the hobby companies wouldn't make any money! Really it's a huge scam, but as long as the buyers are happy, who cares?

That said, I think the xmod is somewhere between hobby quality and toy quality. It seems pretty tough so far.

Well that makes me 2nd at 12. I hate it when everybody doesan't think u are capeable when u are young, don't you?
I have the prolbem that people underestimate me, like when i fixed a blown up ZIPZAP PCB and the ESC in a rustler and the tranny lol.

The cool thing about being online is that your age doesn't matter. I've chatted with 13-year-olds I've sworn were in their 20s and people in their 30s that acted 15.

So really, who cares how old you are?

I'm 16.
