Hi, i'm new and I think I may get one :)

I may get one for christmas from my girlfriend. I have a gas powered Stamped and 2 other electric RC cars. I hear some say these cars are junk, but most of you seem satisfied. I know the miniZ is a better product but I already have 3 other expensive RC cars so the Xmod should be perfect for a 4th RC car.

Is it a good product for the price?

Question

BTW, whats the best batteries to use? Right now i'm using Ultra Rayovac Nickel Metal Hydride (1600mah) AA in my digital cam. Are these good for the xmods as well? If so I'll get more of the same since I have the charger and these batteries are wonderful in my camera.

Also are the run times pretty good with the batteries you guys use?

CrushB5, you have made a wise choice to buy an Xmod, my friend.

You can customize these things with different springs, different tie-rods for steering, different motors and gearings, different wheels and tires (hard for off-road or soft for hard smooth floors, plus two different designs), different bodies (you can only modify the bodies, you can't buy seperate ones right now), you can customize the frictions and choose between All Wheel Drive, Rear Wheel Drive, or even front wheel drive. And these things can FLY when you install the right motor set and a 6-cell mod. Buy them, they are WORTH the price! And customization on these things is WAY better than most RC's! Get one!

I might just go out and buy me one tonight or tomorrow. My girlfriend told me last night that she wouldn't get me one of those stupid things because I barely run my other 3 RC's. I just like the fact that you can run these little things in the house and there also upgradable.
