5 or 6 cells???

Ok I going to radioshack tommarow, gonna get sum rechargables to replace the 1.5v non-rechargable battiries i been using up lol
I was gonna get a AAA holder to while I was there with teh rechargables, should I get a single or double holder?

I dont know if I should go with 5 or 6 cells, I plan on making a drifting X Mod out of my Supra, which one would be the best to go with?

I think that the 6 cell would work the best. You really need tourqe but speed would be good too. I am also working on a Drift car. I'm going to put on it a six cell, SPB motor, high speed gearing, all wheel drive, hard slick tires (do they have those?), hard springs in back and soft at the front, 4.5 degree tierod, and i have recently heard that the wings actually make a diffrence with the handling so im going to try and get a custom one from www.tinyimports.com . Its is 10-13 buxs so it is a kinda expensive but im only going to need one so I will most likely sell the rest.

at 1/24 scale you're not gonna notice a difference with a custom wing, not much anyway. maybe if it had a large surface area then i'd look into it but anythign small i wouldnt' really count on it. my 6 cells work fine with my command lights btw

but if he uses rechargeables, it's 5 x 1.2 = 6.0 volts and 6 x 1.2 = 7.2 volts, so it's not too far off. from my experience, high quality led's can handle higher voltage than their rated max voltage.

Hello, I’m new to this board but will tell you this. I have a RSX with a 6 cell (Double AAA holder) that runs assume. Running a SpinBrush motor with the 11-tooth pinion mated with the blue gear. Car is rewired with 22 ga. wire throughout the entire system. With all these upgrades I still run the lights with no problems. You will not be able to mount the light board on roof of the car for the battery holder takes up this room. I ended up taping the light board on the front windshield (under body of course).

As for running a 5 or 6 cell I would run the 5 cells. Another guy at work did the 5 cells that are just about as fast. So, I just cut down a double holder with makes more room under the body. I installed quick connectors on both battery holders so it can be switch if needed.

SI4562DY MOSFET chip or the IRF7389 which is the older style for what I was told. Can anyone tell me any other information about the two. I have four of the SI4562DY style on order. Does anyone know if they are stacking these like the old ones?

The wings on that site are amazing!!! Do they need to be trimmed to fit XMODs?
