must have upgrades worth every damn cent times 10
got a microsizer pro (2, one for my girl), 2.2 motors and that crap worthless ass battery, well, the motor too as far as i'm concerned; sure they're fun, but the stock motor is laughably weak and boring to drive the car around for the 8 minutes the battery lets you run for. i can see that to have the most fun with these things, you must have a much better motor and run time, so i ordered a motor and battery upgrade from toyeast, the exact parts were
Item # AC1827 JAPAN PERFECTION HIGH TORQUE 3.0 Cost(USD) 1.24
and
AC2014 JAPAN PERFECTION SUPER 200mAh NI-MH battery Cost(USD) 1.81
ridiculously cheap and the shipping from hong kong to las vegas came to only $12.95 and that was for two of each of the above items.
i hoped the items i bought would be of good quality, but if they weren't i wouldn't be depressed about having spent a fortune on them. i ordered on the 19th they shipped the 19th, and the package was at my door by the 25th (nov), great.
i hooked up the parts on my girls car since i had given mine away to a friends kid (dammit), and the car now had a nice cruising speed (2.2 -> 3.0 motor upgrade), with the turbo, it was almost hard to control, it put big smiles on my face. although i thought the car was now plenty fast, i can still see the fun in having a 4.2 for certain situations where there's more room; i have very very little room to play with my cars, so this is a great speed to keep it fun in such a small space.
the battery really blew me away. the stock ni-cad battery doesn't even come close to this, a'ight check it. after 3 of the microsizers 45 second charge, the car ran for a good 20 minutes if not a half hour, i wasn't timing it, but it ran the car for so long that my girl and i even got bored of running it around in that little space and eventually put it down.
several times we were sure the battery was bout to crap out, and then the car would just be flying again for anohter 10 mintues, when again it would seem to be losing some juice, then it'd be of buzzing around all over the kitchen floor again, this got old and we never got the battery down all the way, but i was sure it was near the very end of its charge.
hours later, after watching a movie and reading for a bit, i was ready for bed, but i went into the kitchen, and saw the car sitting there and figured it wouldn't even run now, (the old battery wouldn't have run, even if it had a full charge and been sitting there that long) but i turned on the radio and it worked... wow.
i put it on the floor and got almost 10 more minutes before it was no longer moving but still powering the motor ever so slightly, enough to hear it try to move the car. i then finally picked up the car to put it away and go to bed. right before placing the car down on the counter, i pushed the forward control on the radio and the weheels spun again and i put it down on the ground to see how much more it would go... only a few feet, but it still impressed the hell out of me that it still had some juice.
it would seem that the overall time was aproximately 40 minutes, is this possible?
i'm a pretty good judge of time, and i was having fun, so i'm pretty confident about my estimate. i will give it an even longer charge next time, and time the run. either way, even if it turns out to be only about 20 minutes, it's still a must have upgrade in my opinion.
i would like to finish by saying that although i think it was a worthwile upgrade, i think these parts should have been part of the original toys equipment. having to go through the extra trouble of finding, ordering, and waiting, and all that nonsense, should not be what i have to do to really enjoy these things. maybe it's just a microsizer thing though. the perfection cars have all of these things out of the box and 2 turbos on the radio, sweeet! i think i'll definitely order a few now and feel confident that i will be getting some really excellent mcro rc cars, watch out top dog micro rc makers, or original micro rc maker, you may have some superior competition here. and at only 12$ each for these cars? what? whaaat??
both my thumbs up for toyeast for being prompt and professional and perfection parts, big up yaself!

You can get 20+ minute runtimes from the stock cell. The 45 sec. barely fills the stock cell. I've had to charge 150mah cells for about 8 minutes to get a peak out of them, and they run for 45+ minutes. 3 45 sec charges are probably barely filling that 200mah cell, which has four times the capacity of the stick cell.
The MOSFET mod is kinda tricky because you're replacing the transistors on the PCB with FETs, but since the FETs are like 50 cent apiece when you order 10 or more. That definately makes it the best mod for the money. It gives your car insane power for instant acceleration, even with you fastest motor, and gearing.

That's because rechargable batteries will stabilize their voltage after they are discharged. Any rechargeable will do that, put out a little more after you let it sit for a sec.
