Antennea?

Have you guys noticed that the antennea that is on the chassis is very fragile and breaks easily? Has anyone broken their antennea and soldered it to the little piece of metal? If so how hard was it and does it still have the same amount of range before it broke?

i think i have broken that connection on every xmod i have

as for how hard it is to reconnect... not hard at all ,just solder it back to the tab

reconnecting imo has not made the range any better or worse

btw...are u talkin bout the actual antenna or u talkin bout the wire and tab from the pcb? cause im talkin bout the wire and tab

if the wire falls off, make sure that it doesnt touch the motor or it will fry a resistor and your range will be really screwed up.

....as it says in the owner's manual- get into the habit of removing the batteries from the car when not in use

and if it falls off when running and touches something (motor, batts,ect....ya then your screwed

if you breack it then souder it back and put hot glue on the sauter and part of the wire. this will help keep it on better. make sure not to put hot glue in the hole!
