Need Help with Brand new X-MOD won't work.....

I bought an X-MOD like two days ago and today I put together today and when I turned it on,nothing just a twitch from the servo.Hmmmmmm,I tried the steering nothing, throttle nothing. The batteries are brand new in both of the controller and car and are installed correctly,I messed around with the crystals and still the same.I'm stuck, maybe you guys can figure it out.Something has to be wrong with the inards of the car.I'm really kinda of tired of going back to Radioshack,I went there yesterday because the car I got before was used and very dirty.

Thanks for any replies,Matt Have a Happy Thanksgivings

I know it might sound stupid but did you turn the controller on to? Sometimes the car twitches when you just turn it on by itself.

Yep,controller is on.The funny thing about is that since the car twiches it's getting power,so something is wrong with the receiver in the car.I thought there might be something I don't know since they don't give you instructions. So far I'm not to impressed by RadioShack.

I just read your signature and saw that you had a NOVAK Spy on your DTM. Do you think you can fit one inside a Xmod? I've been wanting to get one and try but never had enough money and was afraid it was too big and be a waist of money .

I'd try moving the servo a few times incase its locked up a little, but it sounds like some kind of transmission problem. Is the TX light going on? I'd check the antenna on the x-mod and make sure the antenna on the TX is secure, and the battery has a good connection. Some people said they have to put some cardboard in the bottom of their TX to hold the battery in tight.

I used to have a Novak Spy ,but I sold it I needed some money, but I bet you could mount one but there's no point because then you couldn't mount in a receiver.

I'd also trace the car antenna into receiver for any loose connection or metal touching other metal. Man I don't know whats up with your x-mod though. Just don't forget you paid $50 and deserve a working x-mod from radioshack, and you definately have put some effort into getting it to work yourself.
