I use
Squadron Putty Green
Is there any difference? Should I buy the white?
Green is sort of pasty (like a sticky toothpaste) not really... moldable like play-doh (which I thought it would be like....)

GO TAMIYA!!!
Yeah Tamiya rules above all things!! I have a 1/24 Skyline kit I'm building, and it's the most beautiful little thing I've ever touched I'm afraid I won't make it into something very beautiful though I've never used putty, but if it's from Tamiya I think it can't be bad.

I am not sure of the name but fast steel or quick steel its at checker and you cut off however much you want then you knead it until it feels warm and it is very easy to shape int a general form and just let it set for about 30 min and you can begin sanding and whatever you wanted to do to it, this stuff becomes very hard but works really well because you can mold it easily its about 5 bucks for a tube try it out and see if you like it
