It started life as an RSX. I had to make a longer chassis and longer. hollow stainless driveshaft.
Chassis is plexiglass, .032". Will be making a top plate tomorrow evening if I have the time. The hard part is going to be the rear mount as the stock location is directly under the rear window.
Using micro receiver, servo and Castle Creations Pixie 7P ESC so I can have a programmable cutoff for the lithium poly cells. No reverse though...... I also may have to raise it a bit to clear the front wheels, but I really hate to do that and will only as a last resort.
Still undecided if I want to keep the AWD or mod for pure drag.
Sorry for the sixe of the photo above. I'll edit it tomorrow and add one of the stretched chassis.

OK - photo size if fixed - here is the chassis bottom plate. I'll have to think where to put the cells, but think they will fit on the top chassis plate.

Body is from Wal-Mart and started it's life as an "AMT ProShop" model in 1:25 scale. Fully painted and lighter than the stock RSX I think. Cost was less than $9.00.
More as it happens - I welcome any feedback, comments suggestions.

looks great even the offset of the wheels doesnt look bad it all looks great. heres and idea, since you made a new chassis maybe hteres a way to put the motor in front and reverse the polarity ( if that is possible on these motors I do not know) eihter way it would be pretty cool.
once again a good job done
