4 things that i can think of 1 check the remote to c if the battery is good in it 2 check the wires to c if the solderings r still in there 3 u screwed it up when u hit some water 4 check the crystal to c if they are still there

remote is good crystal is good
dosent appear any wires are messed up
but it ran for about 5-10 min after i hit the water
it might be a wire cuz i did get it to turn on by touchin a wire last time

i think so (they might send them out to the supplyer and they will fix them and send them back) but if they find the prob they might just do fix at the store and put it back for sale

i think that the RS in the mall by me do that if they dont have serious problems with the range and stuff like that. i got one that looked like someone resoldered the battery leads. And ive heard that RSs either re-sell them, throw them out or repair and resell them.

are the wires breaking or the soldering falling off. if the wires are breaking replace them. if the wire and solder are falling off take all of the solder off scratch the tab up a lot with a wire brush or a screwdriver and solder it back on with some of your solder.

EDIT: dont forget to get the wire and tab really hot.

Between my friends and I we've returned I think 5 different XMods for different reasons. They have a serious quality control issue, but they're also tons of fun when they're working right, so we keep getting new ones.

My local RS has a stack of returns. They take 'em out and play w/ 'em in the store trying to get 'em to work, simply for their own amusement. I was flat out told there's nothing they can do with them... they're thrown out. The guy working there I talked to was kinda miffed, as he wanted to be able to at least give 'em away to customers as parts cars, but he's not allowed to.
