general XMODS info
hi everyone. i have been researching XMODS like crazy for the last week. i have found alot of information about it, but still have a lot of question. i wanted to know:
1) how many steps is the steering and accel?
2) how far does the range go?
3) what batteries does it take? and how long it last
thats all for now. it would be highly appreciated if someone could answer these. thanks alot! bye

Welcome to the forums.
1). I think some people are saying around 16 steps.
2). From my XMOD I am getting around 20-30 feet of range.
3). XMODS take 4 AAA batteries.

X-mods info
1) how many steps is the steering and accel?
From what I've read the steering is 15-17 steps, dunno about the accell.
2) how far does the range go? It varies...some people get 30ft some get 80ft.....I can get 80+ because I race in a parking garage 3-4 levels underground where there is absolutely no radio interference.
3) what batteries does it take? and how long it last.
Takes aaa batteries...time varies depending on what kind...alkalines go away quickly.....I get 30-40 minutes out of my Rayovac IC3s (1.25v 850ma Rechargable)

digital is ususally proportional. but electronic could be from the magnetic steering of a Zip Zap to a servo. and throttle could be an ESC to full on off like the ZZs

major, easy on the caps, it's like yelling. the accel has 5 or 6 steps to full throttle. what i don't like is between teh first step and 2nd step is a big jump. it'll go from not moving (or creeping slowly if you have a 5/6 cell mod) to like 50% throttle on teh next step. well, that's what it feels like

the brakes and reverse are proportional, just not very steps.
