RS sucks
Alrite originailly I was all for radioshack Zip Zaps. But after my ZZ's steering broke i got an SE and its antenna fell off a week later so i saudered it back and it still has no range. In my opinion RS has horrible quality. I'm not tryin to pick a fight I'm just letting people know my opinion. Sorry if i offended anyone.

Hmmm, that is quite odd, the antenae fell off...or broke off? And the se's do have reletively good range with the antenae, check your soldering job!

I'd also like to add, I've had many of my original Zaps since the middle of last year, and my SEs since they first were released. I've never had one break on me... course then again, I take care of it. When will folks learn that ya can't abuse a small plastic toy and expect it to last indefinately (that and (not related to this thread 'tho) you have to occasionally install new AAA batteries LOL)?

SEs are simply inconsistent. I've had to return 2 out of 4 that I've ever gotten (ie I've bought 2, but had to return each of them once and got a fully functional car the second try).
Buy them if you're ok with going back for an exchange. When I go to Spain and give my cousins gifts, it'll only be normal ZipZaps...

You should make sure you soldered it correctly. I have had no problems with my 2 SE's.

i had to return 2 se's and on the 2nd they wouldnt give me another car just money and wouldnt let me buy another one (they hesitated on letting me buy an x-mod)

Are they allowed to do that? They shouldnt make you unable to buy what ever you want to buy.

Hehe, I guess it could have something to do with the condition that they were returned in? After all, if the cars have been severely abused or modded, of course RS isn't going to exchange them LOL.
