nope just split the wires and take the plastic coating off and then splice the wires together. then drill holes in the bumper and slide the LEDS in. it was not hard at all just make sure te leave enough slack in the wire and be sure not to pull the wire out of the led.

here's where i stuck the led's on the stock bumper. sorry about the quality, i took the snapshot with a webcam before i got my new camera
