Targatop, honda guys talk about engine swaps because they want a better HONDA engine. There not gonna swap out their original engine for another car company's engine.
And the eclipse gsx needs the 200+ horsepower cause witout the turbo, eclipses suck.
But anyways, lets talk about our rc cars seeing as this is a rc car forum

i have a 91 CRX w/ b 16 w/o vtech and my friend has a 90 with an 02 accord v6 w/ vtech. i kill him all the time. vtech might help eventualy but in a 1/8 or 1/4 drag. b 16 kills every time

normally i don't do this. but hell i'm board. so if i act like a 5 year old... ask me if i care. i don't.

first off.. hondas suck. period no ands ifs or buts about it. i have never found anything good about a honda unless you drive an Odessy and have a family of five. thats all a honda is good for. a grocier getter. NO honda owner can say he bought the car and can run in the 14's for under 2 grand. i've got a 89 supra i paid 1500 for and w/ only 500 in repairs, tunning, and system i had it running in the 14's. (i have since done more) no honda can talk about that. you have to swap an engine, or get that Very Technical Extra Crap (VTEC) or go w/ what everyone else figured out worked 16 years ago(they STILL don't come w/ them stock). one of those spooly things that look like a snail. for christ sake you can piece together a WHOLE civic at Autozone. come DOWN to San Antonio ANY fridaynight 410 and starlight you won't miss us. your honda will GLADLY be put in its place by ANYONE out there.

ok well i'll tell you what i'll come up there with my nice little 95 supra and we'll see whats up. and yes vtec does have a reaction time delay just like a turbo does. i would take a crx over your mkIII any day of the week. btw if your going to bash someone for owning a honda make sure you got your facts straight on how things work.

hey guys, is there anyone here that realizes that if they want a lightweight, FWD car with a HUGE modification accesibility, they are better off getting a honda? a huge american mucle car or camaro or whatever is way more expensive, much heavier, and much stronger. so what. they both have their ups and downs, and are both very fun to drive. say you get a civic. you can pick up any magazine and find body kits, engine accesorys, turbos, etc. with no problem. with a firebird/camaro/stronger car, its gonna be a hell of a lot harder to find mods for, but your car may not need them that badly because its already stronger.

what facts DIDN'T i get straight. and congrats on the supra you own. some of us can't afford the 20+g's it would cost for a decent MKIV let alone the insurance. and your comment about a crx over a mkIII makes you a disgrace to the Supra community and should be shot on site. oh bring your supra up here. PLEASE. but if your up to start **** and side w/ a honda. you'll be put in your place quicker then a french **ore.

Targa top knows what he's talking about. I have a Sunfire SE and I am not switching out my engine, just upgrading. The sunfire's torque is excellant and so is acceleration.

I also own a cavalier z24, sunfire/burd's sister car. neither of mine have swapped

Yeah a sunfire is a nice car but your not doing an engine swap because your not a racer because if you were you would not have bought a sunfire.

I'm not here to bash just state the facts. I am a Nissan head so take what you will with what I have to say. I am not a big honda fan but I like the crx .It was my first car CYBER racing put a B18a in there(I loved that thing)

I like toyotas too but a 14 sec supra is a joke so I hope you have done more. and gsx's awd are not really fast cars. gsx's need a lot of work to be fast. But who cares you think hondas suck and other love them. Beacuse you feel a certain way it doesn't mean your right. why dont you guys just shut and take it to the track like LACR battle of the imports Its a big event make the drive. (I live here in Southern Cali)

omg will you all just stfu?! who cares about each others oppinions? youre all just gonna keep arguing and after this is done, ur still gonna have diff oppinions, one of u thinks hondas suck, others think they are good and really upgradeable.. who cares? if u like something stick with it and make it as good as possible till ur satisfied with it.. besides, this is a RC forum, and answer me one question HONESTLY.. what the heck is the point of spending thousands of dollars on making ur car fast when there will always be someone faster than you? ... i personally drive a 04 Subaru WRX with a few mods.. but i dont really take it too seriously.. i just enjoy the sound and feel of AWD and the TURBO.. just this little argument.. lets get back on topic..

yeah its gots its plus's but w/ the age it'll take alot to get it on track and ready for a serious racer. plus don't expect TOOO many after markets at hand for easy upgrading.
