Actually, I didn't actually measure them, so you got a good point. As far as damage and how much juice they can take? I'll find out when I try a 9V battery mod next. I haven't noticed any handling problems except when I go into a turn too fast, I flip sometimes.
demonracer, I would pick whichever of those is the smallest or closest to thge wire size you are using. You should go into a RS store and see what size they are and go from there.

Wow that is a crazy difference. Pretty easy to do just got to be willing to take the chance of messing up your car once you get past the part of cutting the wire its all downhill from there. Cant wait to see how it does compared to my friends X's Now the hard part is going to be hiding it under the RSX shell. Dremel here I come. Thanks for the help BC.
Well I got her all set up kinda still have to get the fast connect before I hotglue it. Got a question for you though. You havent had any problems with the batterys sitting directly on top of the heat sink I just got to looking at it and was wondering if that heat was going to give me a problem? Thanks in advance.

For right now I just used small butt connectors. I believe BC said he had his twisted so that should be okay too just make sure you twist em good. I had twisted just a little to see if it worked car took off and the pack stayed behind car died of course and ran into the wall thought it was kinda funny but it worked twisted it just wasnt twisted good enough.

If you twist them, make sure you cover the bare wires really good with electrical tape or you will short something out.
As for the heat sink, I haven't noticed any increase in heat or experienced any problems, and I have run my car for 20 minutes at a time before.
I'm planning on coming up with a more efficent way to do this mod, with better wiring and connectors, and maybe in as less space as possible (if I ever make it to the electronics store).

Hey MadeInUSA
Here is my RSX with the mod. What I did was, trim the left support for the rear clip back flush, and use a bushing to extend the clip. Then the trim the left screw post for the lighting kit down halfway, I drilled a hole into the battery holder and then screwed it down to the modified post. This way it allows you to get the battery holder down as low into the body as possible. It is a tight fit, but it does go when you get everything in the right place. Hope this helps ya.

Hey thanks alot digiman32. Today I was fighting with it because I wasnt getting any power turned out that I had crimped one of the butt connectors to tight that it cut the wire completly went to fix that and pulled the black wire coming from the positive battery on the car completly off so I had to soder it back togther and now everything is working so I can get back to hiding it again. Thanks for the info and pics. If I may ask what exactly did you use to extend the clip like what kind of bushing and are you using the screws that were given to you with the xmod. Thanks for the help.

The bushing is one of the yellow bushings that you take out to but in the bearing upgrade. Yeah, I am using the screws left over from upgrades. I used a extra suspension screw for the rear clip, cause it is longer than the stock screw. The battery holder is from radio shack, the first one I got was too big (it was the one with the cover and extra section on one end), I went back and found the one I am using now, they don't keep the smaller ones on the shelves, you will find them in the drawers where all the resistors, leds, and such are...there will be a drawer with nothing but battery holders. Hope this helps you out.

Yeah, I did the same thing as digiman32, holder from RS, yellow bushing under tab, and longer screw.
