Whenever I try to get my fairlady Z to turn left, there's a huge delay. For example, When I get teh bit to go forward for about three feet, then turn left, it goes for about 3 more inches before actually turning left. Has anyone got this problem and if so, how do you fix it?
1. steering arm. sometimes not having any can affect your steering.
2. coil and magnet in the front of the chassis. If the magnet is off center, or if the coil came loose on either side steering is affected too.
3. innate problem with the front wheels. This I believe is the largest player in your problem. My car had this problem too. Apparently one of the wheels can't turn as smoothly as the other. Since the bit springs and stuff are so soft and fragile a slight stiffiness in either wheel can cause it to "drag" behind. So let's say my right wheel has this problem. When I go straight the wheel drags behind and veers the steering to the right. When I reverse the right wheel drags in front of the chassis and causes it to veer left. I had no choice but to switch with a new set of wheels and knuckles.
