Please verify
I have noticed that since my battery boxes made contact with the heat sync and shorted, my range has decreased significantly. How many others have noticed this? Maybe we can figure out everyone's stuttering/range issues. Thoughts?

i had the same problem and i had to exchange it cos i could only go like 5ft.

put some electrical tape or a dab of hot glue on those contacts

This is an unfortunate design flaw in these. You just have to be careful with moving the batteries around.

The replies on this post seem to be a little off base. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced similar reception problems. If your batteries have shorted out on your heat sync, did it kill your reception?

i can't figure out the problem. i've had mine since 12/26 and i broke a joint cup and got it running today. now it won't work more than 5ft away from me.
i want to exchange my skyline, but i painted the wheels and installed metal bearings.
what you do?

reception problems.
adroit,
i had similar problem i shortened out ANTENA to batt contact,
resulted in burened receiver.
usually you'd smell the burned electronis.
double check ALL the wires .RS=no quality.
any souldered wire on xmod is reportedly coming off.

exchange it or if you want to stack fets you can order a new system and use parts from the old one.

I exchanged it for an RSX and it is a lemon. It doesn't move smoothly.
Some screws came crooked.
I might end up exchanging it again.
