Same here.
I would like to see a video of this motor in action though. It would be nice to see what I'm getting.
The only video I've seen so far is of a hatchback with a AAbat mod.

i think he misinterpreted that video for one with the nml motor in the car. that would explain why he's not too impressed with it since aa batts wont make the car run faster...just longer.

What? AA batts have more volts right? So more volts = more speed.

aa batts and aaa batts are both 1.5 volts...aa batts have more capacity = more run time.

aa have a higher amp rating than aaa. volt x amp = current. the total current runs the car so aa should be faster than aaa

aa and aaa alkalines have 1.5v
aa and aaa nimahs have 1.2v
so their charge is the same.
and for the other post...the different between them is ampere-hour capacity. the higher it is, the longer it runs. that's why a lot of things take both aa and aaa batteries cuz the difference is just the duration of it. i'm looking at this chart thing from batterieswholesale and it's telling me this. also, aa batteries weigh more so it would slow the car down. u can also refer to other batteries such as the nimahs from toyeast for bit char-g's. it only gives longer run times and does not make ur car go faster. which is why when i run my bits with a 100mah nimah battery it is as fast as a 200mah battery.

im not talkin about the mAh rating, i know thats capacity. i am talkin about actual output bud. if you have ever ran a micro rs4 on 5aaa then on 5aa you can easily see that it will run faster with the aa cells if you run with 5 a cells it will be way faster than the aa or aaa cells. cause the internal amp output is different on all the cell types (not the mAh). most r/c cells have the capacity as well as the amp output. aaa and aa usually dont.

also, i tested my rs aaa cells and they are puttin 8amps out. my aa are puttin 12amps and the 2/3a cells (i havent tested) claim that they will put out 30amp with no drop on load

ooo u mean the discharge rate. my bad, yea it discharges faster but then u need a higher torque motor since they weigh a lot more than aaa batteries. the discharge is 3 times faster or around like 20 minutes but it is not that helpful in an xmod cuz it disrupts the balance in the car. might cause the wheels to dip.
