flashing lights?
I introduced my friend to XMODS and this web site lastnight. He was very impressed with everything you guys have been doing to you cars. He asked if there is a way to make the lights from the light kit flash. He is going to be a police officer soon and would like to get an XMOD and mod it into a police car. I don't know how it would look but flashing lights would be cool for something like underbody strobes. I told him that if it's possible then someone here would know.

If I remember correctly, there was someone in the UK who made and sold a police light bar for Bit Char-g's. I imagine that mod could be "modded" to fit an Xmod.

In this forum, do a search for "Ultimate Light Mod" and you'll see some threads of light mods for Bit Char-g's. At one time, this guy Mike had a webpage where he had Knight Rider style leds, flashing lights, police light bars, and an ultimate light mod for sale. The Ultimate Light mod had headlights, reverse lights, and turn signals. Unfortunately it seems that his website is down. There is one thread where "backward engineering" this mod was discussed (I think I started the thread actually) but I don't recall if anybody was able to do that.
Now, if there are any Bit Char-g/Xmod crossover users who purchased any of those mods, please speak up! Maybe we'll find someone who can reverse engineer the mod and let us know how to make them ourselves and put them on our Xmods!

or you guys can check this topic where someone has already done the flashing LEDs......and it looks HELLA TITE!!!!.......its a bit more complicated than going with the flashing LEDs, but you can control the brightness and the flashing speed using different resistors/transistors/capacitors: http://www.tinyrc.com/forums/showthr...5&pagenumber=1
