batterie chargers

i just got the radioshack flyer today and i saw that the rs chrger can charge nicad in 2 hours, and the nimh in 5. it can charge aa or aaa batts.and its only 12.99. the only thing i dont no is if it comes with batts.so how much are batteries and what charger should i get the x mods or the rs charger. thanks

Get the XMods charger. It's a much better deal. The first time you charge the batteries with it, it will take around 2 hours. After that it will take maybe an hour. Plus it's a delta peak charger, which means you can charge half dead batteries without worrying about damaging them. Not to mention just 4 Ni-MH's from radio shack is $19.99, and with this charger you get 8 batteries! That's like getting the charger for $5 and 4 more batteries for free.

I will agree, get the charger/battery upgrade combo. I went back to get extra batteries, which like Murcielago659 said were $20 for 4 batteries. I ended up bying another charger/battery upgrade and getting the 4 extra batteries + a second charger for $5 more...you can't beat that.

Yes it will charge Ni-Cds.

i like the charger but i found that energizer rechargeables are faster, you might want to look into them, but for bang for the buck the rs charger w/ batteries is great
