This' the dual-motor crawler x made of some Mini Xs pieces and some OL parts.
Hope by the end of the month this one can crawling.
Yes it still looks bad, but this is a start for the next rigid chasis.

I have something like this in mind, except it is gonna have the motors mounted on the chassis and driveshafts going to solid axles. and I am going to use a three point upper arm. and two two point lowers. instead of a 4 point setup. are the upper mounts on that bloted solit with no ball joints? and where did you get the links?

1. Can't put the motor on chasis, since I dont have any skill to make the U-Joint for driveshaft.
2. Yes it was bolted with ball joints.
3. The links is made of used Overland's street version shocks. I rid off the spring and replace the rod with screw. So the length is adjustable. I will post the pic soon. Now I'm working on my brunt stock ESC.

I have a question, how do you guys mount those wheels and tires?
I bought a Tamiya 1/32nd Blackfoot to do a monster x mod but am not sure how to attach to those hubs.

Just glue them to the stock wheel and trim it a bit.
See my pic.

Looks great helldriver! You should post this over at Mini-ZRacer.com as well, I think the Overland Mod'ers would love to see it!

I have seen U-joints in just about the correct size available for R/C boat driveshafts. If you decide to try something like that Tower Hobbies carries the U-joints as well as matching diameter shafts and bearings.

Cheers for pick of wheel mod, Nice one!
Can you drill the wheel hub (before gluing) to enable you to remove the wheel??
Other wise you would be stuck with a monster mini-x (maybe no bad thing ;-)

Hi
funny you had the same Ideas than I had
Mine is about the same stage than yours!
Yet I allready think I solved the engine Issue.
I will use am mini-z motormount and drive as a middle diff
As U joints I will use graupner boat stuff - and a single Ujoint per axle - and the shaft will also be part of the axle linkage.
So my first go won't have dual motors.
would like to stay in touch with you - btw do you know killers work from the TTTT forum - on this site? - you should really study it.

Good idea. But it's quite expensive. I saw a guy that use 3 diff on his 1/24. Rear, front and the main diff.

Sure. I drilled entire center section of the wheel, so I can remove/put the it anytime.
