lol, no, it's flexible enough to go back into place under the bumper if you fold it back to unlatch the hook...so it fits good

well for some out reason i could not find.. soda bottle soo i used New Style Caprison Bottle.. its really weight less metal...

how about the plastic that was on the outside of the carrying case when we bought them? it is more thin than a pop bottle, but still durable... I would think that if you used a section of the front center where the 'xmods' logo is positioned it would actually look kinda cool..
the only reason that i thought that this might work is because i had a tough time trying to tear that off, and i am probably the only one that decided to keep that cuz it looked cool...
just a thought

no, i wouldn't have even though about cutting into the actual case itself, but that plastic 'wrapper thingie' is a whole different story

The wrapper would be way too flimsy to use in this situation. The plastic that the Zip Zaps box is made of would work.

so has anyone else tried this, i'm really happy with mine, i finally painted mine and will post pics hopefully soon, the pics certainly don't do it justice though....it turned out quite nice....please post pics if you used this tutorial, or please offer any improvements on this design, i'd like something new as well, ya know...hehe

I am going to try this, but I don't have any 2 liters laying aroung. The next time I go go grocery shopping. I'll pick up a couple. I can everyone looking at me funny now when I'm checking out the bottles for the clearest one.

I used a 7up bottle to get a nice green effect I know, my opening for my on/off switch if off to the left a little but it doesn't matter

This may seem stupid, but I cut out a piece of plastic from a zip zap container to fit my xmod. Then I just slapped it on my XMOD and it works perfectly.
