We NEED bodies
My paintjob just got messed up royally. I would like to get another body instead of going through all the work of paint removal. Also if we crack a body up we are basically outta luck......not good........ Anyone know any replacements, possibly lexan or whatever that will fit? Or do any of you know how to get FUBARED paint off of plastic?

Old modeler's tricks here-
To take the paint off of plastic, dip it in brake fluid.
Like car brake fluid, $1.29 at most auto parts stores, and probably .99 at Walmart.
Get a small tub (rubbermaid that you will not use for anything else again ever), pour the fluid over your body and let it sit. Check on it and make sure the surface is wet with brake fluid. After a while (depending on the quality and thickness of paint) it will wrinkle up and slide off. Use a stiff toothbrush to get it out of your lines and mouldings.
This will remove paint all the way to the plastic, and usually not damage anything plastic.
Once the car is clean of paint, wash it with dish soap and water.
You should be back down to the original plastic.
Anyone notice that the rims on the RSX are clear under the paint? Might be just mine.

I think and am hoping that after Xmas you will see new bodys stocking the shelfs. They want to get as many people as they can to buy the 50 $ cars as they can just to get the other bodys then they should release it at least thats my opinion.

a guy at my radioshack said that they will be getting just bodies in, although he doesn't know when. like a prior post said, it'll probably be after everyone has bought a starter kit

hey
I have used some model car bodies on mine...just make the mounts out of sheet plastic (available at hobby stores) just try to find a body that is close to the same wheelbase...then just trim it to fit correctly...

here's one
this is my mini z (same exact dimensions as the xmod) and it has a revell acura model car body on it...all I did was use soem mounts out of an old body on it...I made the ground effects out of scrap lexan and covered it with carbon fiber sticker material from the local hobbyshop...and added a fake intercooler and tailpipe from another model car...the brake disks are from a 1:18 diecast motorcycle...just enlarge the hole in the center and glue into your wheel...
