i see well electrical tape works well and it won't leave the bottom all sticky i used electrical back in the day on my 1/10 scale t3 and it worked great the bottom looks pretty much brand new except for the few scrapes it got before i taped it up i still have my 1/10 scale Team Associated T3 Team Kit if anyone is interested

i would worry more about sticking that skid plate out to where it hits anything before the body kit does - after seeing my friend hit a tile with the front bumper and almost destroying his body and killing a light set cool mod - like the skyline

has anyone seen the bumpers on the epochs? that may be a very good thing for bad drivers and fast cars.... they look kinda funny but they work.

well we arent all bad drivers - half the wrecks are the other people i drive with lol - but i wouldnt mind more protection - car is pretty fragile - im planning on buying another skyline for parts/body - since im going to paint one

I was thinking the same thing... getting another RSX with all the MODs to show and one to go... seeing as I've already taken this one outside and cracked one of the from pieces to the "mild" frontend. Hey, it's only money right???

hey bc could you also use aluminum from a soda can? i figure it would be cheeper and easier for people to get ahold of it then to have to go to a hobby shop and get it.

Using a soda can would be a bad idea. How could you have $50 to get the xmod and not a $1.20 to get a proper piece of aluminum if you really want a skid plate? It would be really difficult to get an aluminum can that flat. Plus, it's too thin. Also, you'll cut the hell out of yourself shaping it.

BC, just curious why you didn't have the plate provide some protection for the screw in the bottom of the steering knuckle? I've already busted mine out, and I've read others have too. As it turns out, not having that screw in there doesn't seem to affect performance.

actualy i did the same thing to a micro rs4 and the way i got the can flat was just by setting it on the table and putting a phone book on it over night. and as for it being too thin i have had my micro for over a year with it on there and not one hole or anything in it. i guess your right about a few people cutting themselves, not every one in the world is smart enought to think about how sharp it would be. but you could just wrap the edges with electrical tape.

Because they hang lower than the chassis and making the skid plate accomendate that would have been a pain plus I think that part would have rubbed the ground. Maybe the next time I make one, I'll revise this one and add that along with a front "bumper".
