Driveshaft...

is the driveshaft really needed if you are running RWD? Obviously for AWD its needed, but for RWD you are just spinning it for nothing. Any thoughts?

yes you do need it because it keeps the gear between the motor and the diff from jumping around and striping out eventually

Thanks, I took it out and put it back together and the gear didnt seem too stable so I put it back in

I took mine out, but the thing is, my pinion gear is the yellow one and i'm using the stage 2 blue motor, but I also had to trim the motor mount to do that. perfect gear mesh without the shaft.
