1000 entries minimum for the contest to start??? Your INSANE! This sounds to me like you want a logo done for free w/o having to award the prize... I think 100 entries would be a bit more reasonable to expect and even then not very practicle.
It's a 1000 entries with one person = 1 drawing only. Not 1000 for one person. If that's what your thinking. I agree that would be insane. I'm waiting for 1000 individual entries to be sent before I can declare a winner.
The prize in to be awarded on january 1st. that's about 2 months from now. An Xmod is free if you win, just like any other contest. Plus this isn't like a lottery, it's gonna be judged. Plus the traffic I'm getting 1000 shouldn't be a lot. 10,000 is insane. I get around 150-200 a day in hits and that's with little advertising! When xmods officially launch i'm gonna have a full email inbox!
This contest is not just for the logo but to spread the site. What I told people is to do your drawing and tell your friends too.
I used to run a techdeck site and it was sucessful but ended cause I was going to school and now i'm gonnna try and make my site sucessful again.
No, I'm not stupid enough to think that you want 1000 entries from one person... I just think that 1000 entries is a little much for a fan site to expect. `cause what you are asking for is 1000 people that have an interest in XMODS and be kinda good at some kind of photo editing software... I don't think it's gonna happen, especially by the 1st of they year. BUT I do wish you luck and hope it happens for you....
My question is what are you gonna do if you've not gotten your 1000 entries by then? Use one of the ones entered and then award the XMOD?
If it doesn't reach 1000, then somebody will still win one no matter what. And no stealing of logos here. The winner will receive full credit and everything and an xmod!
