The instructions are hidden but still in the package. Yes, 4 at a time. Good price for what you get. The lights blink green while charging, turns to solid green when finished. Should take around ~2hours first time to charge, shorter afterwards.

My instructions were folded up very small between the cardboard packaging.

for you second question about if there good, i'd say yes. they last a very long time and charge in about the time it takes it to run out so you can have infinite amount of play time

Does anyone know if the RS charger does any type of conditioning? My understanding is that the batteries have to be conditioned occasionally to retain peak performance. Is that true?
Also, can the batteries be left in the charger so that they are ready when they are needed? In otherwords does the charger go to trickle when charging is done?
And lastly, what is the charge time needed?
Thanks in advance

I just got mine last night. The first charge took about 2 hours, but it took 45 minutes after that. The runtime is awesome. I was outside messing with the neighborhood kids for a good 30-40 minutes on one set of batteries. I say it's definitaly worth the $25.
