http://www.tinracers.com/Merchant2/m...ategory_Code=1

according to the link above, you dont need to purchase the relays or anything else except for the tires if you purchase a tinracers exclusive?? is this true?? i really wanna buy this, but i'm not sure if i can just buy this car, and put the faster motor, and be done with it.....

any suggestion or comments??

thanks

no you dont really need anything else but to put on new wheels you need the gearbox

trust me its deffinatly worth it you get a huge gain in speed and its more efficeient because of the ball berriings reducing friction

ther new gearbox is trick too

what I did was get the pre assembaled gearbox and wheels
it was put together nicely

and it costs the same as getting it separatly

its very simple to install the gearbox
you pop out the old one and pop in the new one after you put the motor in it

and for the front you open it up and change the steering knuckes and bar thing if you want
the front wheels are pre mounted on the knuckles

make sure you get a motor with good tourque and speed I have a huperdash 2 and it jumps off the line and is soo fast you can flip when turning

keep in mind it takes a lot more to flip one of these then a bit

if you get the pre assembaled gears aand wheel kit
they range from $13.90 to $16.65
they only come for "W" cars (its the gearbox type when buying a car they say which one they are

if you get the tin racers exclusive cars the ones with relays pre installed you dont need any soldering tools but if you buy the relays separate you need to solder to install them

for a motor get whichever one you want but if you have a hobby store near you see if they carry tamyia mini 4wheel drive motors or any other "130" size motors
the plasma dash by tamyia is faster then tinracers 90km/h motor

good choice

I do play with my audley on the street
if you dont mind scraping it up they can take whatever abuse you throw at them
they are amazing

as long as your streets clean and smooth you will be fine

they don have very much ground clearance so it cannot even come up the bump and the end of my driveway unless you go full speed an jump it

I have dropped my car 10feet exactly from mu top floor straight down to my mail floor onto tile floor and its fine

you will have fun trust me and if you have any other questions just ask me

that's us$ man

i spent
$15 for the car
$17 for the wheel kit
$15 for the motor
$10 shipping

that's quite a lot....

40km? oh well, i think that's not fast enough for me, but i will see before doing/adding any other performance parts....

thanks man

depends what you are used to playing with

I have never had a hobby class 1/10th scale rc car

and for its size even with the slower motor that I have its fast enough for me

my driving style may be different though
I like a quick responsive car and mine has tons of touque so it jumps off the line then hits its top speed soon after

if its not fast enough for you you van always add another battery which apperently makes a huge difference
just get another AA holder and soder in its contacts in series with the other batterie holder

ALSO !!!
make sure that you use rechargeable batteries I have 1800mah nimh batteries
I used to have 700mah nicads but I wanted more runtime
so I switched

Nick

btw that is really a good price
