Bodies cracking

Has anyone had trouble with the older bodies cracking when you put it on the se chasis? I have had the civic body and 2 blue camaros to crack below the tab hole.

I haven't put any older bodies on it yet, but my savanna body is cracked right below the rear slot. I'm slightly angered by this *twitches eye*

I haven't had any crack yet, but some are pretty tight when trying to put them on, and it's only a matter of time if you keep changing them out. I have noticed that almost all bodies including the SE's are really tight on the sides and have to be spread out to get them over the chassis.

savannah crack :(

mine fell off table mountain and the plastic below the tab broke off, i just put some superglue on it to hold it... maybe I can sand it down so it's not as messy and then paint my car another color. :]

I know that alot of them are tight going on. I wonder if it is where they redisgned the front of the se. It has alot of give in the front. It also seems like the bodie slot are a little more narrow on regular zips.

all of my old and new bodies are tight on the sides and i have to put one side on at a time to spread them out. do not spray these bodies with a can of pressurized air while it is inverted! it will freeze the body and crack it!

(i learned the hard way)

I know my yellow rx7 SE is cracking where the clips lock to the chasis. That could be from me hitting walls though LOL.

I have cracked them by hitting stuff to, but I'm talking about just putting the body on the chassis and it cracking at the tab.

I have had several bodies crack below the rear tab too. I was thinking of cutting away a little of the plastic that the body rests against there where the motor screw goes.

When my bodies break then I just super glue the pieces together. That seems to work well.

I filed the rounded part under where the screw goes, just enough to make it flat. Looks like that helps reduce the stress there. It no longer pushes out on the bodies that are already cracked, so the crack doesn't show as much. Bodies go on a little easier too. Just don't file too much, may make the wheels not line up in the wheelwells.
