i decided to create a forum just for xmods, http://xmods.cjb.net. Now i'm sure if they get popular tiny will create an xmods section, but i thought it would be nice just to have a place strictly for xmods, similar to the mini z site. feel free to join, if not, it's cool.

OK, I broke down. I called all around Richmond today looking for an Xmod with no luck. I did however find a store manager who has a buddy that works at the warehouse. He said they have had the Xmods at the warehouse for over a week and where holding them until they build up some stock. He said most likely 2 more weeks. He also told me he could order me some stuff through his friend and have it shipped to his store.
I went ahead and ordered one Skyline kit, the wheel kits, tire kits, light kit, AWD kit, Stage 2 motor kit, and spring/steering kit. He said they should be here in about 3-4 days. He also didn't charge me any shipping since I ordered so much stuff.
So, at the very least, I won't lose anything if it doesn't get here before they hit stores since I didn't pay for shipping. At least I'm pretty much gauranteed to get the stuff. We'll see in a few days.

Umm...technically the stores can't. He has a friend on the inside that works at the warehouse. He called him directly.

Let's just say I don't have much patience. If I had to, I would drive to Texas to pick it up myself. Anyone wanna go for a ride?
I just hope my "hook up" holds his end of the bargain.

I would be willing to do that, but by the time I find out he does come thru, and I order yours, and it gets here (has to come to the manager's store directly, and ship it to you, they will be in the stores anyways.

just lemme know when you get yours, i'll probably have you get me a set anyways. I'm sure i'll end up getting more than one anyhow (again with being impatient). I'd probably end up giving you my UPS account number and have you ship it next day air to me anyways. What did you end up spending total for all the stuff you ordered anyways? Either way i'd want to thank you for letting me bug ya with this.
for young guys/gals ; try not to follow in my footsteps, it'll get your wallet lighter than you expect in no time at all.
.....man.., the thing we do for "toys"
