I took off the tyres and spray painted them.
yes, on clone cars like LXX, but i painted mine.

I spray painted it. But the trick i find to lowering a Lancer, is to put bit smalls on the back axle. This looks alot better than the normal wheels and there is room to lower the car more. With the new wheels the bottom of the car can be made parallel to the ground.
I have another Lancer, from my early days, on pg.4 (i think) using the same method. You can see the wheels clearly

Single speed MS PCB chassis
Teal gears, 4.2 King motor
Black finned heatsink
Body kit added front, sides, rear with pass-through cusom exhaust
Mask, paint, detail, clearcoat. Custom mix metallic silver-blue over Boyd's Hi Gloss White, Future clearcoat
LXX Black wheels
