Also its on a gen 1 pcb board with a 2f2f purple engine do I need a new battery or anything? let me know all you can I have not done a mod since the "no reverse mod"

also I just soldered through a few steering wires so if anybody has had to fix that before let me know. I think I got the routing figured out I just need to solder them back on in the right order.

help is on the way

alrite hey im glad 2 help... first off look at this tread http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread....ghlight=mosfet it'll answer most of ur questions... basicly u glob on sodder over 2 resistors and it gives ur motor more current so u gain acceleration but maintain a normal top speed... i for 1 am glad i did it... its a great power booster. the only downside is that u loose runtime by about 50% im not sure if you can run multiple batts wit dis mod so i posted my own tread... ne way about oyur steering wire ur not alone, i think i snaped every1 1 of mine but i got a easi fix

1- get some sodder on a soddering iron
2- get sodder on 1 end of snapped wire
3- place other wire in the sodder and its fixed

i hope this helped.. if u got ne more questions ur wanna kno more about mosfet ill b happy 2 help just email me at xxspeednplayaxx@hotmail.com ttyl

hey speed? that is not a mosfet mod. totally different mod you just linked to. also this mod worked for a few people on some of the earlier generation zips, but a lot of people noticed no difference or loss in power. unless you are confident in your soldering abilities, i would advise against trying this one...because more than likely you will need to go back to the original parts. if you are good with soldering surface mount parts, then give it a shot.

anyway, the original point was this was not the mosfet mod....i don't know if there is a complete record of how to do this mod...i don't have time to search it out at the moment, but feel free to search it yourself... i bet a majority of what you find is ads for microamps..lol
