What I saw today...
So I went on a "fact-finding misson" today(basically I went to every store that I thought might carry bits or clones to see what all my options were). While I was at my local toys are us looking at the microsizers, I looked of to the side and saw a 1:42 mini rc. I forgot to write down the name of the thing, but it had propo steering. The pcb cover actually covered the whole top o the chasis. Also, the motor for the thing was almost three times as big as my zip motors. The fastest motor for it was only a 22,000. Just thought I'd share.

It is amazing where you can find these micro cars, almost every store has something.
Meijers was recently clearencing out their microsizers (the older ones) at $7.40 each,(now that is a good deal).
I am interested in the car you found at T-R-U, I will have to take a look at my local T-R-U.

Well SPIFF I believe I bought one of those 1/43 scale cars you posted about.(fastlane SuperSlicks mini r/c)
First and foremost they are NOT fully proportional they are just like a zipzap or bit, but I expected that since they cost $19.99.
They do look of good quality and they really resemble a zipzap with the same type of tire/wheel system everything is just bigger, and the motors are huge but only turn 14,000rpm(green-stock), 19,000rpm(orange), and 22,000rpm(red) they have a motor/gear/tire hopup kit. They also have extra bodies (mustang, cooper s, and others)mine has a viper body.

Yup, that's the name of em'. And I thought that they were propo steering cause when I looked at the seering setup I saw a lot of gears and such instead of a magnet setup(course I could be wrong, it's been known to happen).
As for finding bits and such, I've got numerous Radioshacks for zips(my fave right now) Toys 'R Us for Microsizers, and KB Toys for a few clones(Rally Racers), other than those, I'm kinda SOL around my neck o' the woods.

Yeah they do have a few gears up front but it just turns left/right.
Here in the southeast michigan area there are a countless amount of stores that carry cars, usually I can take a quick ride to find what I'm looking for without even having to go near detroit.
I did find something else new at TOYS R US but I havnt even opened it up yet but it looks like fun.No one else has posted about it (I think) but it looks interesting.I will wait to see how long it takes people to find it since it is a new toy.

"he he haha lol" no no no it is NOT tyco's rebounds (not even a tyco)those are just an old toy redone (again).
This is something new but kind of a combination of a bit and an iracer.
It is radio controlled but steers like and is about the size of an iracer.
The cool toy I found is from a company called....................
silverlit toys
when you see the controller and what it can do you will like, you will like very much "lol".
I havnt even ran mine yet I need to round up some batteries.
it is a good thing I installed my digital camera on my new computer, now I can post pictures again.

$50 isnt to bad for two cars (27&49) and all the track.
I have read somewhere on the net that latter this year they will be selling just the car/transmitter set.

I cant do a full review because I havnt even set the track pieces up yet but I have driven the cars, well one is giving me a bit of a problem but the other is ok.
The track is bit sized I put a clone in the track just to see how it fit and there was some room for it to go side to side. The track has built in charging stations just drive in and charge. The track also has hills it also has guard rails that look alot like zipzap guard rails but are set up different.
The cool thing is the transmitter, it allows you to program in different moves.
I have hardly scratched the surface of what all can be done with this set.I feel it is worth the fifty bucks (2 cars 2 transmitters, and the track)
here is a link to pics of the charging setup.
