My car wont turn right--Help

Hi guys i'm new to the forum. I just received my first bit char-g and i tried to take out the cripple capicitor on the pcb board and now my car wont steer right... i'm such a idiot...i literally got it for 1 hr and its already busted...

I heated the solder with a "fat" soldering gun (not the best tool but it did the job) and yanked out that lil sucker. But then after trying it worked but no right turns.

here's a pic of my pcb board if it helps at all.

plz if you have any suggestions feel free to help me out.

THx

First off Nut, you should've cut the crip/crap out. Never use the wrong tool as you said you did. That fat tip emmits a lot of undirected heat. I can't say for sure but either you broke the right steering wire somewhere or damaged that part of the board. I can't see if you've cross soldered anything cause you pic is fuzzy. See if you can get a clearer pic of both sides and repost.

I think mary ann is the only one there. Seems strange but true. I emailed them twice, both times it was mary ann.

Tari,

Well there is nothing to cut on the car's pcb board u have to desolder and using tweezers remove the cripple capacitor. Usually in the controller there is a cripple capacitor that needs to be cut but thats easy plus mine doesn't have that in its controller. Yes i know i used the wrong tool but its not as fat as i explained it but its not that fine of a soldering iron either. The amount of heat that it generated was not enough to damage the car but i guess that could be a possibility. I think you are right in saying that some of the solder could have spilled onto another part therefore inhibiting it to go. I'll try removing some with a desoldering braid. I'll try to post a better pic.

killa, i think i will talk to ann and see if i get a new chassis but i don't think so, if u remove parts of the car u void the warranty but i'll try if i'm not successful in repairing it myself.

Thx guys i'll keep everyone posted

I fixed it. It had nothing to do with my soldering job. In my haste I took out the pcb board to fast and the right turn wire that connects to the board came out. So i just soldered it back on. Works beautifully.

Thanks for the help anyway guys!
