I just bought a Fairlady-Z...
Where can I get the fastest revving motor?
Where should I get 12:1 gears from?
Does owning a 2-speed disable me from replacing anything?
Whay don't many people have the car I have?
What can I add to make it go faster? ? ?

look
where did you get the Z from? Toyeast has many fast motors. from the 3.8 perfection (my favorite) to some 4.2 motors. i personally don't have anything faster than a 3.8. the best gears for all around speed/torque are the stock orange gears. having a 2 speed car still allows you to swap out any other MS/Bit part. the only thing different is the pcb. lots of people have a Z. i own 2. one is still in the box (collectors item ) and the other is my favorite booster car (i've got a MS pro too). the Z body is one of the best looking old bodies (excluding the new Super Bits) my new favorite is my JOTA SVR Lambo. do a search for dual celling and faster motors. spend 30 minutes on this forum and most of your ?'s will be answered. good luck, and welcome to the club
if you intend on buying from toyeast, get plenty of stuff to compensqate for the shipping cost (bodies, batteries, light sets, tire set, other bits) whatever you think you'll need. don't just get 1 or 2 things cuz the shipping isn't worth it

1) From ToyEast.com. It's a Perfection 4.2.
2) There is a Tomy kit available. You should be able to get it from your Local Hobby Shop [LHS].
3) Not at all.
4) Actually, lots of people have it. I personally don't.
And welcome to the forums.
Hey big, I started before you. Oh, well.
P.S. my favourte bodies in order: Bit 911, Bit Countach, Bit Jota, Bit Supra, Bit Z [Even though I don't have one. Though I will!]

I just ordered one last week from Toys N Joys ( www.toysnjoys.com/bitcharg.html) in Hawaii. I should get it sometime end of next week I hope. I emailed them first to make sure they really had it. Sunrichcompany.com has them as well but they only sell wholesale.
And Big-Key is right if you order from Toyeast get other parts to offset the shipping.
If you don't find the gears at a local shop, I believe this site sells them as well.

some are really cheap, others are overpriced.

Yes I noticed that. But I shopped around for the Fairlady. It was the only place that had them in stock and the prices I was finding were around the same as toysnjoys. I guess it is because it is hard to find anymore. I thought hard before I bought it. But I wanted the 57mhz with the 'boost'.

MS is short for Microsizer. It is the US version. Hobbico is the distributor. All the parts are compatible with your bit char-g. Also if you are looking for some really good quick info find one of Namuna's posts. He has links to all sorts of info in his signature. I found these to be very helpful.
