my point is that none of them care how there car runs, just how it looks. My dad used to race pro street cars and such, he said to get your engine at its best before you change the body.

not entirely true.....
go to japan on the freeway and look at the engines of the cars...you will notice that most of the modded cars have a killer engine, as well as a body kit. do you own the PS2 game Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero? well, rent it and look at the DVD extras, the one entitled "Night Warriors". you will see my point...a lot of those guys are real ricers and a lot of their cars dont have a superly-overdone bodykit, just a bad ass engine and muffler.
but just to stay on topic...
1. i do like F&F AND 2F2F, although the cars are overdone, but what u have to understand is, that the movies arent identical to reality. in fact, much different than reality. those cars are made to look cool and go fast because they were designed for that purpose of having a fast car in a fast car movie.
2. i dont like ricers and their fast ass cars because rice and imports (to me) started after the muscle car era. right after camaros and chevelles came the Datsun (now Nissan) Z brought a whole new meaning to import. and not only did japanese cars evolve, but so did euros. Carmen Ghia became Volkswagen, and Lamborghini started making cars after a history of making tractors. And Ferrari and Audi go way back, and thats when they started to evolve. every other car company around the world copied off the United States. that is a fact that we have to accept. and since rice was a copycat, that is why i dont like it.

sorry, but werent we talking about Japan and Rice cars? this is absolutley unrelated. and in all my trips to las vegas (roughly 50 or so) i have yet to see one car matching your description. and the ones i have seen in other cities dont always go 10 MPH they go speed limit. sorry to announce, but in this portion of the post...
YOU R OFF TOPIC!

THis is funny. Anyone remember Pro street in the 80s???? At one point in Pro Streets life it was all about looks. A pro street car could be found with wild paint schemes and tons of stickers but no actually real performance. There was actually an article in Car Craft recently about this.
So its not just imports that have done this, pro street did once as well
