Question Motor for booster car

What is a good replacement motor for a booster car? I want something that has decent speed when unboosted. The stock 2.2 is a little to slow unboosted, and boosted it's decent. I was thinking the formula 34 from the shop here. I think it's either that or the tinyrc 2.8. I'm not sure if the f34 would be to fast for track running. Could someone describe the unboosted speed of the formula 34? I also have the first gen zip zaps so if you want to use those to describe the f34 unboosted speed, I will know what you are talking about.

Btw, I'd rather not order anything from anywhere but here.

Those are fun. lol

The best motor I've tried for boosters is the perfection 4.2 pro. It's as fast as an MS 2.6 off the boost and crazy fast on the boost.

I want a motor that has an unboosted speed like in the middle of boosted an unboosted of my 2.2. As for top speed, It dosn't matter right now as long as its at least as fast as my 2.2.

Namuna's test shows that the em-35 only hits about 26,000 rpm's. My main question now is how fast is the f34 unboosted?

Edit - Does anyone know about the darkside rotor from dks?

I use 3.8 Perfection motors in my boosters. The unboosted speed is perfect for tight turns and stuff. Very controllable. The car is crazy fast when boosted.

Yeah, the 2f2f tuner would be good for me because I get a 2.8 and a 3.4 to try, if I ever do a full size wheel mod I will have some rear axles and hubcaps, and it comes with tires. I get all that for $13. I'm doin it. Thanks for the help.

The Darkside is pretty fast - I like it a lot. It is my favorite right now. It's definately controllable unboosted. It seems about like a stock MS 2.2 unboosted. It might work for you.

I have never raced on a track, so what do I know anyway?
