Just joined - First cars inside [pics]

Hey all, just joined the Micro RC revolution with my friend, we are going to start racing and modding these things! I dont know when the last time I had this much fun was.

Here is my first set...the Auto Modellista racing set...

Im going to try custom painting and stuff like that soon. One question, how do you do the drop mod?

Why thankyou very much!

Now, anyone know where to find good springs in a common household (other then a disposable camera) that would work for the suspension mod?

Someone suggested the springs from lighters would work well, but I haven't tried them myself. Honestly I don't think springs are worth the effort. I use the red stabilizer with no holes and it handles awesomely.

Springs make a big differance in handeling at least in my experience.
You can look for springs in pens (mixed results, look for copper colored), vhs-c or 8mm casettes, I even heard some dat disks and floppys have right sized springs. Some will interfere with the magnet in the steering assembly.
Happy hunting and welcome to the hobby and this site.

Thanks, I tried a spring cut to size out of a pen and lets say the magnet loved them.....my Skyline did not like turning, lol. I will look around for some of those suggestions, thanks!
